| Two Major International Publishers join 5th Nano & Giga Forum in Russia |
|
The organizers of the conference Nano & Giga Challenges in Electronics, Photonics and Renewable Energy (NGC2011), the 5th Nano & Giga forum, have made agreements with publishing company Springer and the Institute of Physics Publishing to publish the papers from the NGC2011 meeting that will be held September 12-16, 2011 in Russia. A special journal issue of Nanotechnology (IoP) will include the original research papers on nanotechnology applications in renewable energy and energy storage and Springer will publish the papers on nanoelectronics and photonics in a special issue of Nanoscale Research Letters as well as a tutorial book in the Nanostructure Science and Technology book series. Nanotechnology (IoP) is the first journal devoted to papers at the forefront of nanoscale science and technology. The journal has seen remarkable growth in size over the last few years and is published weekly. This growth has been achieved with an increase in quality of published articles, which is reflected in the journal’s growing impact factor ((2009 impact factor 3.137). Nanoscale Research Letters is the first nanotechnology journal from a major publisher to offer open access. Even though the journal is very young its credentials have grown remarkably fast (2009 impact factor 2.894). The NGC conferences are known for their productive publication projects. Even though the number of attendees is relatively small (300 to 500 participants), two special issues of international peer reviewed journals and a tutorial book have been published after each of four biannual meetings. Books published from NGC conferences are based on the lecture notes from the school part of the conferences, where tutorial lectures are given by leading experts who are also known to be excellent educators. The next (fifth) conference in the series will be held in Russia at two locations, Lomonosov Moscow State University (MSU) and in Zelenograd, a suburb of Moscow that is the center of the Russian electronics and computer industry. Zelenograd is also the home of NT-MDT, the main host of the meeting along with MSU. Back to the Nano & Giga Solutions home page. |
