Research Associate, Eastman Kodak Company

Denis Kondakov received his Kandidat Khimicheskih Nauk (Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry) degree in 1991 from St. Petersburg University, Russia working in the area of physical organic chemistry of organometallic compounds. After doing postdoctoral research in the field of early transition metal complexes-related synthetic methodology with T. Takahashi at IMS, Okazaki, Japan and E. Negishi at Purdue University, USA, he joined the Eastman Kodak Company to work on reaction mechanisms and photochemistry of azomethine photographic dyes. Since 2001, his work was focused on device physics, photochemistry, and material design of small molecule-based OLED devices. He has authored and coauthored more than 30 papers in various chemistry and physics journals and more than 20 patents and patent applications in the fields of organic electroluminescence and chemistry.
