Karla Teixeira serves as an International Business Development Manager for the Arizona Department of Commerce. Ms. Teixeira joined the agency as an International Trade Specialist, assisting and counseling business owners on exporting to new Markets.

As an International Business Development Manager, Ms. Teixeira counsels small and medium sized Arizona companies with their exporting efforts and markets the state to foreign companies as a premier location for their U.S. expansion.

Karla has assisted over 150 companies in the past three years with their export efforts. Some of the activities she coordinates to assist small and medium size businesses are trade shows, commercial missions, participation in trade shows, workshops and foreign visits. The state of Arizona holds trade offices around the world; Ms. Teixeira manages the Western European Trade Office and the Japanese Trade and Foreign Direct Investment office and manages the Foreign Direct Investment office in London, UK.

With a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA in International Business along with several years of working experience in Turkey and the US in Import and Export. Ms. Teixeira brings to the Arizona Department of Commerce her knowledge of Import and Exporting documentation and different business practices, trade techniques, cultural aspects, project management, customer service and marketing. Before working for the Arizona Dept of Commerce, Karla worked for BAX Global from January 2003 to August 2005. She is a member of the State International Development Organizations (SIDO).
