Professor Ivan Groznov is a senior technology adviser at PJSC Seligdar, Russian gold mining company. At this position he published three patents for inventions, obtained a national award and implemented recycling of stale heap leach piles. For the last three years, he devoted himself to creating a rotary kiln for direct roasting of refractory sulfide ores. An oxidative roasting plant was built using the created kiln. Groznov graduated with PhD from Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology. He started his carer as a researcher at the X-ray laboratory of the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry. Professor Groznov began to teach physics and other physics subjects at higher educational institutions. He worked as a junior researcher at the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry (1966-1973), as an Associate Professor at the Department of Physics at Mendeleev University of Chemical Technology (1973 - 1979), as a Senior Researcher and a Head of the Laboratory at the Institute of Chemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences (1977 - 1997), and as a Dean of the Faculty of Molecular and Biological Physics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, (1997 - 2013). Professor Groznov has over 50 years of research and teaching experience, about twenty Russian and international scientific journal publications, and ten patents. Most recently he has been engaged in developing engineering solutions for mining and environment protecting technologies.
