Transportation

Arrival in Gorno-Altaysk

Gorno-Altajsk Airport (no English version of web site available) has daily "red eye" flights from Moscow Domodedovo airport (S7 Airlines) during Summer time. Flights are also available from Novosibirsk and several other cities. International participants who have partners at Tomsk State University or Altai State University may consider to fly to Tomsk or Barnaul, respecively, to visit their partners before and/or after our forum. Both Tomsk and Barnaul have more flights from Moscow. More accurate information will be available in April on Summer time flights. Our team of organizers will be glad to assist you in planning your trip.

Local Transportation

All registered participants will be picked up at the airport or bus station (e.g. those who will arrive by bus from Tomsk, Novosibirsk or Barnaul). Local transportation will be also available between hotels Orlinoe Gnezdo and Manzherok . Transportation for schools participapnts will be provided to the school venues from the symposium venues and back as well as from/to the Gorno-Altaysk airport. Costs of local transpirtation are included in the fees of the Symposium and Schools. Participants who consider to explore Altai Mountains with guided tours offered by our partners at Mazherok Hotel before or after the forum would be provided by the options upon arrival. We will also add some information about suggested tours later on our forum web site. Car renting options are also available in Gorno-Altaysk but translator assistance may be required for international participants who do not speak Russian to communicate with rental car agencies. Our organizers will be glad to help in communication and car reservation.
